The bootcamp partition is not visible under startup disk nor disk utility. I am running Leopard 10.5.1. Mac task code et105an manually. Manual my book studio for mac. Why your blog isn’t getting more attention. The problem is that the boot camp partition still shows up in the Virtual Machines Library when VMware is booted. It of course does not function but it is there. What am I missing. How do I get rid of this entry? Apr 14, 2015 Don’t be mistaken—it doesn’t remove your Boot Camp partition on your hard drive automatically. Instead, it just migrates your Windows into a standalone VM (a.pvm folder on your Mac). The changes you make in the VM after import will not be reflected on the Boot Camp side—they are now separate. Resize Boot Camp Partition

today I decided to put Vista on my Mac and when I went through the bootcamp assistant it asked me to decide how big the partition to be. I chose the minimum of 5 gb. Tried to go through the install but before Windows isntalled, it said I needed minimum of 6gb..
so I quit the windows install and went back to Mac, now Im there and cannot figure out how to delete the partition. If I go to disc utilities, i can erase it to a Mac OS Extended (journaled) but I cannot delete it. So I try to open up Bootcamp again (read online you can erase from there) but I get this error when I try to run it
The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.
The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows.
what do I do from here without totally wipping out OSX and reinstalling (have a ton of software and stuff on here, hate to do this)..
IF, i do have to whipe out OSX, whats the best way to do it? I did a time machine this morning. Would that restore all applications, files, everything???
